What is the cost of the Guild Wars Platinum Edition?
In Europe the Guild Wars Platinum Edition will be available for an estimated retail price of £34.99/€49.99. In North America it will be available for an estimated retail price of $59.99.
Does the Platinum Edition include the extras from the Guild Wars Game of the Year Edition (North America) or Guild Wars Special Edition (Europe)?
No, it does not. It includes the same content from the original Guild Wars and Guild Wars: Eye of the North Standard Editions.
Will I be able to apply the deposit I made on a copy of Guild Wars: Eye of the North to a purchase of the Guild Wars Platinum Edition instead?
No, unfortunately that will not be possible in the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC store.
Will purchasing the Guild Wars Platinum Edition qualify me for the Bonus Mission Pack promotion?
Yes, it will if you make your purchase through the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC store.
I already own the original Guild Wars campaign; is the Platinum Edition the right game for me?
We recommend you simply purchase Guild Wars: Eye of the North if you already own the first campaign.
Can I stack the Platinum Edition key on my existing account for the original Guild Wars campaign?
Yes, but the only additional benefit you will receive is access to Guild Wars: Eye of the North.
Will registering a Platinum Edition Access Key release my original Standard or Collector’s Edition Access Keys for re-use?
No, keys added to an account cannot be unlinked from that account in the future.
Will I get extra character slots with the Platinum Edition?
You will receive two additional character slots only if you have not already activated an access key for the original Guild Wars campaign on your existing account. Eye of the North does not provide additional character slots.
Does the Platinum Edition give characters the Divine Aura?
No. The Divine Aura is a component of the Guild Wars Collector’s Edition and is not a component of the Guild Wars Platinum Edition.
Are there bonus items, extra character slots, or special skill unlocks associated with the Platinum Edition?
No, there are not.
When will the Platinum Edition be in stores?
You can purchase the Guild Wars Platinum Edition through the Guild Wars In-Game Store or the PlayNC store as of August 31, 2007. The retail (boxed) copy of the Platinum Edition will be in stores in Europe as of August 31, 2007 and in stores in North America in October of 2007
